While at Harvard, Michael conducted research on economic history and economic systems at Harvard Business School, and in his final year he completed a magna cum laude thesis on whether economic shocks may be leading to populism in the United States. Michael was also heavily involved on Harvard’s campus, most notably serving as a liaison at the Institute of Politics and welcoming speakers like US Senator Tim Scott and former NJ Governor Chris Christie. After graduating, Michael worked at a quantitative hedge fund in the New York City area. He left to start his own company that is working to revive America’s small farms. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, rooting on the Rangers, and sourcing antique furniture.
