The Bronx High School of Science

While at Bronx Science, Minnie was a member of the debate team and a research intern at New York University's Silver School of Social Work, assisting on a groundbreaking study about the efficacy of restorative justice programs in lieu of traditional punishment for misdemeanor offenses. After earning the Posse Foundation's Full-Tuition Undergraduate Leadership Scholarship, Minnie began her studies at Vanderbilt University. In Nashville, she was a community organizer and helped secure the release of someone from prison on probation by parole. After graduating from Vanderbilt, she worked on a number of local and federal political campaigns in roles involving data analysis and community outreach, and at the New York City Mayor's Office as a contracted special assistant. After that, she lived in Athens, Greece for almost two years, and since returning to the United States, has taken post-baccalaureate courses at The New School and Harvard University in economics, psychology, and philosophy. She has tutored students in high-school since she was a sophomore in college, often accompanying her father, a cybersecurity expert, who did the same. In her free time, Minnie enjoys practicing the martial art of Aikido––she has a first-degree black belt––and sailing.
