While at Harvard, Wiley built a preliminary model for photophoretic levitation of nanoparticles in the stratosphere for David Keith’s solar geoengineering lab, conducted research under Michael Pollen exploring the psychological rewards and physiological consequences of a generation brought up listening to music in headphones, and wrote under advisor Russ Rymer about a decades-long tension between fishermen and government regulators in the Northeast commercial fishing industry. Wiley also played in a cover band. He graduated cum laude and as a John Harvard Scholar, and received the David McCord Prize for music. Wiley is currently a writer, composer, and musician. In his free time he enjoys bouldering, wearing brightly colored windbreakers, and eating most desserts.
